T&J Instruction was founded in 2001 by Tom and Jackie Van Tress. Tom first starting helping people while being a member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Dept. located in Petersburg, Michigan. It was there that Tom first learned the life saving skills that he teaches today. Tom was employed by Toledo Edison, who trained him to be an instructor for the American Heart Association (Heart Savers). Given the opportunity to move their family to Arizona, Tom and Jackie packed up and headed west. Tom became an instructor trainer in 2001 and started his own business shortly after.
Jackie received a First Responder Certificate from Owens Technical Institute in 1998. She has worked at several locations within the medical field that furthered her education in making her a well rounded instructor for Medic First Aid. Jackie recieved her instructorship in 2002 and has been teaching since.
T&J Instruction has received several testimonials that would attest that the class given by them is one that is given with great enthusiasm and knowledge. Both go beyond what is required in a class to ensure that the class has been given the instruction that is particular to the students. Classes are "catered" to each group receiving training. Most students enter the class with at least some knowledge of CPR and First Aid but they lack the confidence to apply that knowledge in an emergency. T&J Instruction's classes look to boost that confidence level in all students so that they know what to expect and are not caught off guard. Each student is required to perform on a manikin in a low stress atmosphere, always receiving positive coaching and reinforcement.
Tom and Jackie would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and consideration in using T&J Instruction for your CPR and First Aid needs. Feel free to tell your friends and family about our wonderful services and we look forward to offering you all of your future training.
Thank You
